England - North York Moors to Scarborough

Rievaulx Abbey is managed by English Heritage. There are around 20 buildings not yet excavated and almost 80 acres of water meadows surrounding it. That means a lot of untouched archaeology has yet to be explored. It is fascinating to wander around.
